What does lithiasis mean?

Lithiasis refers specifically to the formation of stones, often referred to as calculi, in internal organs such as the kidneys, gallbladder, or urinary bladder. This term encompasses various types of stone formations, such as nephrolithiasis (kidney stones) or cholelithiasis (gallstones).

The other terms, while referring to important medical concepts, do not pertain to the formation of stones.
